Josh Sneed a funny stand up comic and entrepreneur who is from my hometown of Cincinnati, OH.  

 

His road the comedy excellence is an interesting one as he once worked in a nice office for Proctor & Gamble….a well paying and very profitable company who makes almost everything. 

 

Josh has since left P&G and has established a solid reputation around the comedy community as he has been a guest on the Bob & Tom Show, has opened for Ron White, Bill Engvall, Mitch Hedburg, Dave Attell, Larry The Cable Guy, Dane Cook & Lewis Black.  He has been featured on Comedy Central Presents: Josh Sneed and Comedy Central's Premium Blend  and finished 2nd out of 100 in Comedy Central's 2008 top comedians Annual Stand-up Show Down. You can find Josh currently headlining comedy clubs across the Country as he is obviously no stranger to winning and making people laugh….he notes on his website that he once threw a softball through a tire in 4th grade which netted him the coveted "Blue Ribbon"….and possibly starting a love for Pabst "Blue Ribbon" Beer.

I have been a big fan of @RoyWoodJr since I first heard him on the Bob & Tom show back in 2005 but he is now a finalist in NBC's Last Comic Standing.  Now Roy has been doing comedy for much longer than that and you probably will recognize him from his appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Chelsea Lately, BET's Comicview, Last Comic Standing, Def Comedy Jam or you have seen his act while on Tour.  Click to see tour dates. 

I'm a bit partial to southern comedians (I live in SC) and as I mentioned before Roy Wood Jr represents the South, and does it well.  Roy comes from what is known as the "Dirty South" and that is Alabama.  A place where things can get so dirty they don't even know the price of soap. (For those of you who do not listen to old rap or are not from the South the Term "Dirty South" is not an insult.  It is a term of endearment made popular by either Goodie Mob or Timbaland).

At any rate if you go to Roy Wood Jr's website you will be able to see some of the awesome work he has done for the Troops of The United States as well as listen to some of Roy's hilarious pranks.  I used to prank call people in high school, I loved cd's by Adam Sandler & The Crank Yankers and I am telling you Roy Wood Jr is the best prank callers out there, go check it out.

Many of you may not know who Rob Huebel exactly is but I am SURE you have seen him somewhere.  Rob gets special placement because he hails from South Carolina (Where I live) but get's less preference because he attended Clemson University…the Arch Rival of My University of South Carolina Gamecocks.  So in the end, it's all the same. 

Rob Huebel is an Actor/Comedian who is currently active writing. producing and performing for his MTV sketch Show "The Human Giant".  He can also be recognized as an extreme form of "LA douchebag" in The Hilarious Movie "I love You Man".  He has produced The Daily Show and been a character actor on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development & a panelist for Worst Week Ever on VH1.

If that isn't enough to jog your memory, I am sure most of you have seen a movie in the past few years.  Rob play's the "Inconsiderate Cell Phone Guy" before the movie starts.  You can see that video further down the page along with multiple video's on Rob's website robhuebel.com.

So this website is about Twitter and Rob Huebel is a master of Obscure, sometimes worrisome Funny Tweets.  He and a group of fellow actors/comedians/waiters started "TwitFlix".  TwitFlix is a flipping fantastic idea and how it started was when this group of 30 people or so decided to go see the Premier of Crank 2:High Voltage and live tweet throughout the movie.  There was some controversy over the first Twitflix, NOT by people who were actually attended the movie but by of course some old whiney movie producers and critics.

The Onion was making a mockery of the news way before Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert even got started….but didn't reach "success" until the creation of it's website in 1996 which gave them a National Audience.  The Onion originally started in 1988 in Madison, Wisconsin by college students and slowly but surely spread their news via word of mouth to other colleges and universities.

In 2007 The Onion started "The Onion News Network" which is the CNN of Satirical news…only better! A few of their News Videos are featured at the bottom of this post.

In 2009 The Onion won the Peabody award for "the satirical tabloid's online send-up of 24 hour cable TV news was hilarious, trenchant and not infrequently hard to distinguish from the real thing".
